Valentine’s Day is just around the corner! How about beating the restaurant rush and making dinner at home and surprising your valentine with a beautifully done up table?
These tablescapes, done by Roman Interior Design, show that you can artfully put together a beautiful set up without having to use hearts and cupids, or any other traditional valentine décor. Here we will show you three different table settings that will be sure to wow your love.
Our first table setting is more traditional. We replace cupids with lovebirds and used roses and crystals for decor. The color scheme uses a coral red, instead of the traditional bright, and we added cupcakes to bring in subtle amounts of color. This look is elegant and romantic, but has a unique twist on the traditional Valentine’s Day table setting. Try using this setting for other romantic dinners too, anniversary perhaps?
Our second table setting has a neutral palette and can easily be used with any color scheme. This beautiful table setting shows that one element can make all the difference, in this case, the candleholders make a beautiful center piece. The way the light bounces off of the floweresque shapes will surely create the perfect romantic mood. We love the simplicity of this table!
Finally, last but not least, we have a table that mixes traditional Valentine’s Day aspects with a neutral palette. We used white plates, and burlap accents to give a simple and classic look. The gold and crystal candelabras add glitz and glamour to this lovely setting, while the traditional red damask print runner adds that final touch of color and romance.
We love the idea of neutral items and using special accent pieces that only come out for special occasions, as seen in the lovebirds and china of the first setting. Using items that come out once or twice a year, like special candleholders, will ensure a romantic table and leave your love speechless.
Now, go surprise your sweetheart with their favorite meal on an unexpected table!
Happy Valentine’s Day!
